Board of Trustees

DAVID RODMAN, President, has served the Greater Alliance Foundation as a board member since 2008 and also gives time to Rodman Public Library, Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce and is former president of the Alliance Board of Education. Dave also chairs GAF’s Investment Committee.

BETH MITCHELL, Vice President / Treasurer, has served the Greater Alliance Foundation as a board member since 2009 and also gives her time to the Alliance Women’s Club, Alliance YMCA, Alliance YWCA, Alliance Chamber of Commerce, and women’s groups, Sorosis and Coterie. Beth also serves on GAF’s Investment Committee.

DAMON KELLER, Secretary, is treasurer of the Buckeye Council Boy Scouts of America, and is a member of the Cleveland Chapter – Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and the board of the Alliance Country Club. Damon has served GAF as a board member since 2010 and also serves as the chair of the GAF Marketing Committee.

WILL TOLERTON is on the board of the Alliance Area Development, is a member of the Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce, and is the president of the Alliance Country Club. He was the past CEO of TTT Holdings, Inc. and is active in community affairs. Will has been a board member of GAF since 2010 and serves on the GAF Development Committee.

SUE GORIS has served the Greater Alliance Foundation as a board member since 2012 and also gives time to the Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce, the Alliance Area Development, the Greater Alliance Development Corporation and Coterie. Sue is a trustee of the University of Mount Union and is on the GAF Development Committee.

GERARD MASTROIANNI has served the Greater Alliance Foundation as a board member since 2012 and also participates in the Alliance Area Chamber of Commerce, Alliance for Family and Children and serves on the Regional Huntington Bank Board. In addition to being a trustee at the University of Mount Union,  Gerard also serves on GAF’s  Investment Committee.

ANDREW ZUMBAR has served the Greater Alliance Foundation as a board member since 2016 and contributes to the GAF Marketing Committee. The Honorable Andrew Zumbar is an Alliance Municipal Court Judge who is also involved in the AHS Foundation, Stark County Bar Association and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

DENNIS CLUNK has served the Greater Alliance Foundation as a board member since 2018 and sits on the GAF Marketing Committee. He is associated with many community organizations including Alliance City Schools and Regina Coeli Catholic Church in addition to his professional work with local and state bar associations.

 

RANDY HUNT has served the greater community in leadership positions for the University of Mount Union, the Stark Development Board, the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Greater Alliance Development Corporation. He was appointed to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Greater Alliance Foundation in 2018 and chairs GAF’s Development Committee.

Staff

DOUGLAS R. SCHWARZ serves as Executive Director and is the foundation’s leader in strategic partnerships and initiatives. Doug works toward the highest level of community impact through board administration, budget management and community and donor relations. Doug has served in this capacity for the foundation since 2006.

HEIDI R. McCLUNG serves the foundation as the Office Manager. Her work supports our mission through her legal and financial expertise. She is responsible for systems management, oversees the grant and scholarship procedures, and manages financial processes, payroll, and fund allocations along with marketing. Heidi has served our foundation since 2013.

 

Marcie Curry, CPA, has served the Foundation as Financial Manager since 2018. She is responsible for managing financial processes, including reconciling investment statements, quarterly income allocation, budget management, and financial reports. She has a passion for the nonprofit world and uses her expertise in developing strategies to assist our donors.
